The Smokies are situated in East Tennessee and is a great destination for family vacations, friends or church groups.  Some of the big attractions here are The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, LeConte Center, The Island, Ripkin Experience and Dollywood.  The mountains surround Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville and they are a treat to view in every season. The changing of the leaves in the fall thrills both young and old alike.

There are endless activities to do such as hiking, dinner shows, sightseeing, golfing, wedding chapels, shopping, amusement parks and fishing.  This is the perfect area to stay if you intend to visit Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, Sevierville and the Smokies.

The dining in the area ranges from traditional to exotic.  Visit The Old Mill Restaurant, Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant, Calhoun's Restaurant, Bullfish Grill, Cheddars, Harpoon Harry’s Crab House, Texas Roadhouse, No Way Jose's Cantina, Mel's Diner or Five Guys Burger and Fries. Don't forget Krispy Kreme, our favorite.

The history of The Smokies dates back to the era of the Revolutionary war.  The first business here was established around the 1800s.  The area was a small community mainly doing farming, but even then the beauty of the area brought in many visitors to see the mountains and this brought in new business to meet the needs of the visitors and travelers.

Much of the entertainment venues of the area touches on and incorporates the flavor of the area's rich history.  Many visitors to the area enjoy The Comedy Barn Theater, Dixie Stampede, Hatfield & McCoy, Smoky Mountain Adventure, Biblical Times Dinner Theater. Titanic Museum or The Wonders of Magic at Wonder Works.

Apart from the Smoky mountain scenery, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville have many recreational facilities and shopping areas for everyone.  Millions visit Dollywood, Dollywood’s Splash Country, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Pigeon Forge Bowling Center, Walden’s Landing Miniature Golf, shopping at the Five Oaks Tanger Outlet, Christmas Place, Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, Smoky Mountain KnifeWorks and the Old Mill Village.
